COMPLETED PROJECTS
Since 2017, when the Society's $10 million capital expansion campaign started, we have seen exponential growth and enthusiasm toward our goals.

CONTINUUM OF SUCCESS
In 2007, the Galena-Jo Daviess County Historical Society started our Continuum of Success vision beginning with a CAP assessment deeming the Museum's location and facility poor and inadequate.

Nelson Stillman House Purchase
In 2017, the Society purchased 3.6 acres including the Nelson Stillman House and Crow property which are adjacent to the Grant Home on Bouthillier Street.
The Nelson Stillman House will continue to house our administration offices and in the future, by an event venue. The rehabilitation began in Fall 2021.
For more information about the history of the historic Nelson Stillman House or the rehabilitation process view our Historic Structures Report.
