Join your neighbors and Friends of the Old Blacksmith Shop for an old fashioned barbeque lunch at Tammy’s Piggly Wiggly on Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 am and 2:00 pm! Tammy’s Piggly Wiggly will be grilling brats, hot dogs and burgers for your dining pleasure, outside of the store, with the proceeds benefiting the Old Blacksmith Shop.  Volunteers and family from the Old Blacksmith Shop will be helping serve the meals, and skilled blacksmiths will be on sight with their historic field forging equipment providing live demonstrations of their forging skills.  Using the same heat and hammer techniques practiced at our authentic 1897 Blacksmith Shop located on Commerce Street, these Blacksmith will be creating items with fire, tools and brute strength.  This is a day of food and fun you won’t want to miss.
